Eva Braaten from FORUT is contributing as a guest editor of a special issue of the International Journal of Alcohol and Drug Research (IJADR). This issue will share alcohol prevention research and findings about policy development in low- and middle-income countries.
The issue will be devoted to capacity building for alcohol prevention research, alcohol policy development, and evaluation of alcohol control and policy measures.
– Knowledge from alcohol policy developments in low-resource settings are still to a large extent missing. Knowing that these are the settings that often lack proper protection from alcohol harm, it is absolutely crucial to help bring about documentation that can inform and propel life-saving policy processes in many countries in the Global South, says Braaten.
Manuscripts will be accepted until April 30th, 2023.
